BECOME A MEMBER
JOIN THE FAMILY
Anyone with a valid Campus Recreation Services membership is eligible to become a part of our team, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Simply show up to any team practice you can make it to, and the officer of the day will explain the procedure from there. We meet at the George S. Eccles Student Life Center, located just below Legacy Bridge and north of the Marriott Honors Community.
HOW MUCH IT COSTS
Every member of the team must pay team dues to help us pay for pool rental, costs involved in putting on the Rocky Mountain Invitational, team activities, and other administrative costs. Any person who pays team dues will receive a team shirt and team cap, as well as be welcome to every practice and team activity.
We offer two options for paying team dues. The first option is to pay monthly. This is meant to help you spread out payments, but you still must pay the full overall price by the end of the year (i.e. you must pay for every month, even if you do not make it to many practices during a given month). the second option is to pay the entire price up front. We recommend this option for those who are sure they will continue to be dedicated to the team and have the means to pay the entire cost at the beginning of the season.
Dues may be paid by check or card upon making the team. If you have financial restraints that may prevent you from joining the team, please contact the treasurer and set up a time to meet. We do not wish to deny anyone membership on the sole basis that they are unable to pay.
Please note that meet entry fees and optional apparel are not included with your dues package. These are extra fees that you may choose to add with your first installment.
ALL PAPERWORK YOU NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM
The tryout form of previous years has been replaced with a much simpler form. Just show up to practice and an officer will explain the procedure to you!
The Defensive Driving Certification must be completed by all license-holding members for safety reasons. Click the link and then put "University of Utah" for the agency. Follow the instructions and answer the questions as you go. If you have any concerns, contact the club's vice president.
